Quatuor Louvigny

Eager to enlarge the music contacts they established performing with the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, Philippe Koch, Fabian Perdichizzi, Ilan Schneider
and Alexandr Khramouchin decided to explore together the rich universe of the string quartet. The four soloists of the OPL, who already had a big experience as soloists and chamber musicians, decided to form in 2001 the Louvigny Quartet. The name is a tribute to the Villa Louvigny, where the RTL Orchestra (currently OPL) was born. The Louvigny quartet performed numerous concerts in Luxembourg and abroad that allowed them to gain an international reputation. Moreover, they released several discs on the label Timpani, recording French composers’ repertoire (like Cras, Dupont, Le Flem) that has been acclaimed from the international specialized press.
