Born in Switzerland, Estelle Revaz studied the cello in Paris at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris (CNSMDP) as well as in Köln at the Musikhochschule. Her appearances as a soloist with orchestra and a repertoire ranging from Vivaldi to contemporary music have been highly acclaimed by reviewers and audiences in Europa and South America. From the 2017/18 season onwards, Estelle will for three years be a « Artist in residence » with the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève conducted by Arie van Beek. At the same time, she loves to play chamber music.
In 2015, Cantique, her first CD with symphony orchestra including Bloch’s Schelomo and Pitture, a new concerto by Andreas Pflüger written especially for the occasion, was published. 2017 saw the release of another CD, Bach&Friends, where Estelle successfully combines solo works by Bach with 20 century composers. Estelle Revaz currently plays a cello built by G. Grancino in 1679 and a bow by J. Eury provided by generous Swiss patrons.
